Filming art

The work towards choreographing Schumann's Fantasiestücke op.12 has continued. I have met with Andromeda several times and she has continued to flesh out the choreography. We now have a good idea about what is happening and when.

And even why!

She has found potential candidates for the three roles: one female and two male dancers. All are young stars at the start of promising careers. We start rehearsing with them very soon. It will be fascinating to see how different bodies and experiences will influence the movements, the story, and the visual experience.

We are also looking for suitable performance venues. However, we do not want to be constrained by a physical space and have decided to widen the reach of our project by creating a film.

We could simply record a performance, but we want to go beyond that. We want to explore the infinite possibilities that filming offers to escape the limitations of time and space. To show you the work from inside and out, from multiple points of view.

There is, of course, one inevitable challenge: we need money!
